Ethics

Ethics is important to Creon and we stress that our suppliers understand our Code of Conduct and that they live up to its content.
We consider it important to respect the legal demands of different countries and international organization's view of basic human rights.
It is also important to us that we take responsibility for our business in Europe and the rest of the world. We always explain and show our ethical and moral viewpoint and believe in that this will lead to sustainable development and sound business.
We put forward demands that all factories must be obey in order to do business with Creon. Basic demands are that the supplier should follow national laws, respect human rights and guarantee that no child labor exists.
We also ask for information regarding non-discrimination, wages, working hours, working conditions when it comes to environment and safety and that there exits freedom for union engagement. In cases where basic demands are on hand but improvements can be made, we proactively work for this to happen. If no change over time, alternative suppliers are used.
In order to facilitate follow up, we have increased our presence in factories and plants through local independent agents that continuously visits the factories.
